Plug and Play Japan株式会社（本社：東京都渋谷区、代表取締役社長：ヴィンセント・フィリップ、以下「Plug and Play Japan」）は、2018年11月〜2019年3月で実施するアクセラレーションプログラム のBatch 2（バッチツー）で4業界（IoT、Fintech、Insurtech、Mobility）において、公式パートナーである大手国内企業21社と共に国内外合計59社のスタートアップを採択を決定いたしました。

大手企業がスタートアップと協業・出資などを目的とし、オープンイノベーションの一環として期間限定で行われるプログラム。

Batch 2では、824社のリストから59社のスタートアップをアクセラレーションプログラムの参加企業として採択。通過率は前回の8%よりさらに下がり、7%となりました。
2018年6月〜9月期に実施したアクセラレーションプログラム 「Batch 1（バッチワン）」では、同じく4業界（IoT、Fintech、Insurtech、Mobility）において、公式パートナーである国内大手企業14社と共に、国内外併せて53社のスタートアップを支援しました。成果発表会であるEXPO（一般的にDemo Dayと呼ばれるもの）では、2日間を通して45社のスタートアップが3ヶ月間の成果を発表、1,251名が参加しました。
今回のBatch 2 で採択されたスタートアップは下記の通りになります。
また、2019年3月6日（水）・7日（木）の2日間に渡って、今回のBatch2の3ヶ月間の成果を発表するDemo Day、EXPO（エキスポ）を開催いたします

Plug and Play Japan has selected 59 domestic/overseas startups for Batch2
Plug and Play Japan KK (Japan office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Phillip Vincent, hereinafter called; Plug and Play Japan) has selected 59 startups in 4 verticals (IoT, Fintech, Insurtech and Mobility) together with 21 large domestic corporate companies for the Batch 2 acceleration program, which will be carried out from November 2018 to March 2019.
At Batch 2, 59 startups from the list of 824 startups were adopted as participating companies of the acceleration program. The passing rate fell further than the previous 8%, which was 7%.
In the EXPO, which is the achievement presentation (commonly called Demo Day), 45 startups announced the results for 3 months through 2 days, 1,251 people participated.

What is the “acceleration program” that Plug and Play provides
It refers to a 3 month program (this unit is called “Batch”) to provide support for domestic and overseas startups develop globally, focusing on 4 verticals (IoT, Fintech, Insurtech, Mobility) together with official partners of Plug and Play Japan.
Startups have access to official partner resources and opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of large corporate companies. Additionally, startups interested in developing their business globally have the opportunity to work with our Silicon Valley mentors, including pitching their ideas at our headquarters and access to the global market. The startups that are selected for the program can also use our co-working space at our Shibuya office in Tokyo for free during the program period. We try our best to create a supportive environment for startups to focus on their business development during the program.
Participating corporate partners are provided with opportunities such as one-on-one meetings, deal flow sessions (business matching) and networking with strictly selected domestic and overseas startups.
We accelerate the community by building communication between startups and large corporate companies using Plug and Play Shibuya, the event and co-working space. We will also create the startup ecosystem in Japan through our acceleration program and events.
